Summary: NoteTaking is designed with privacy at its core. Your notes are stored locally on your device by default. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal data. Cloud sync is optional and uses your own Google Drive account. Camera access is only used for attaching images to notes.

1. Information We Collect

NoteTaking operates on a local-first principle. All your notes, tags, folders, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Android Room database. We do not collect or store your note content on our servers.

3.1 Local Storage

All notes are stored locally using Room SQLite database. Sensitive data is encrypted using AES-256 via Jetpack Security Crypto.

3.2 Biometric Security

Biometric authentication is handled by Android system APIs. We do not store biometric data.

3.3 Google Drive Backup

If enabled, backups are stored in your personal Google Drive account under app data folder.

Data Deletion Request

You can delete all app data by uninstalling the app. If Google Drive sync is enabled, you may also delete backup data from your Google Drive account.
